Thai holidays or "Unknown Thailand"
My wife and I have been choosing combined tours for a long time, where half the time is spent on a trip to a new country and half in the form of a beach and vegetable pastime. Thus, each of us goes towards each other. In December 2009, our choice fell on a new country - Thailand, and especially there was no choice, since the vacation fell unexpectedly and had to be spent before the New Year and in one of the visa-free countries. Egypt, India had already been passed, a visa was needed to mainland China, it was a long way to fly to Cuba - and the cat wept for the combined tours themselves. We were lucky - and it was on December 12 that we started on a Transaero plane to Bangkok, the operator was Natalie Tour. The tour itself was bought at the travel agency "PARFE", Minsk.
Quite briefly about the flight: there is about 8 hours and at night, back almost 9 hours and during the day. The Boeing 747-300 plane, and having come to land in 2 hours, my wife and I managed to land only on the neighboring rows - the plane was crowded, although it could accommodate almost 500 people. The TVs on the armchairs did not work, the toilets - through one, the feeding is quite decent. I want to warn the zealous: many undressed right at the airport and handed over warm clothes in luggage, hoping that the passage to the plane would be through the terminal. I remind you that it is December outside and the percentage of scheduled take-offs at Domodedovo of charter flights is clearly behind the norm. We were no exception, and after a five-minute run-up, our plane stopped and returned to its original position, but. we were stopped on the field itself and, fortunately, the buses arrived, otherwise our tourists in slippers and T-shirts had to go to the airport building through the freshly fallen snow. After the stress we endured, we were given free food stamps. But the time was night: first it was necessary to stand in line for coupons, then a queue at the only cafe (because it was possible to redeem coupons only in one cafe). Those who were “loaded” on the plane for the first time quickly sobered up on the runway, but the second half of the citizens, due to such a hitch, got right in the waiting room. We were in no hurry, and we did not want to stand in line. In short, when we took our put pizza, it was already 4 hours and announced a re-landing. We considered the new plane for a long time so that it would not turn out to be old, and landed in Bangkok with a delay of almost five hours.
The flight there went without incident, the crew managed the situation, all the citizens who had drunk quietly snore, and we woke up only for two meals. I repeat - for outerwear it is better to take bags or backpacks in the form of hand luggage. The planes are spacious and there is enough space for things, although they flew back in some kind of “Chinese” modification and all hand luggage did not fit and was placed under the seats. But I think this was an exception for Transaero. For a restful sleep, it is better to use inflatable pillows. When landing, they clapped louder than ever and for a long time.
And here we are the hot capital of Thailand. Despite being late, everyone was met and very quickly divided into groups according to hotels and interests. Some flew even further and hurried to connecting flights. We went through passport control and baggage claim in record time - no more than one hour. We were afraid that due to the delay we would have to catch up with our group, but as it turned out, the combined tour "Unknown Thailand" was designed only for this Moscow flight. In India, we were in a group of 16 people, in Israel - 25 people, in Greece as much as 44 people, in Europe the buses move packed. And here there are only 6 people and a comfortable minibus "Toyota" with air conditioning and its own guide. We thought that there was a crisis in the country and tourists were simply not being recruited, but as we were told: the group in front of us consisted of 14 people, and it moved in two minibuses and with two guides. So there were no overcrowding problems in the group. We all came in the mood to get to know the country not by beaches and resort towns, but by places where there are few tourists, and therefore we found a common language very quickly.
Currency exchange: there is an exchange at the airport, but the exchange rate is not very favorable. I would advise to exchange the minimum at the airport for a fire case. It is better to bring dollars in denominations of 50 or 100, they are quoted higher than twenty. About tens and units, I generally keep quiet. In Pattaya (city), and Bangkok, the rate is higher and the difference is 5-10 percent. The euro is somehow quoted in the same way, apparently, there are very few tourists with the euro. In Pattaya, the Russian ruble is accepted 1 to 1. The exchange rate to the dollar baht is 1 to 32.9 (the best) - an average of 32.5. Tipping Thais do not lure: if you give, they will say thank you, if you don’t, they will leave with dignity. The size of the tip is a bill of 20 baht (20 rubles of the Russian Federation). In the country, only the local baht is in circulation, but in the cities there are exchangers at every turn.
General impression of the country. To say that everyone there is smiling, I would not. I expected that I would come to a backward country, where only in a resort one can see civilization, that there are many beggars and beggars, but I turned out to be fundamentally wrong. Even by cars and roads one can judge the country, and both of these indicators are higher than in Russia. People are friendly to foreigners, everything is clean, the roads are without holes, the lawns are trimmed, the flower beds are pleasantly pleasing to the eye. Of course, we are not yet in paradise, but I would not call Thailand a third world country.
Guides. We contacted three guides. They are all Thais, they studied Russian at the local university and, despite the specifics of pronunciation, we understood them quite tolerably. Huge greetings to all of them and many thanks for accompanying me on the tour.
In Bangkok - a pretty girl with the short name Mu, on a tour of the country we were accompanied by a very cheerful guy Maxim, he called himself by this name, because his Thai name in our pronunciation is slightly distorted and carries the meaning of a woman's breast. And who wants to be called loudly everywhere - “Tit”. In Pattaya, we were transferred to Tintana, with whom we visited the Orchid Garden and Mini Siam. The hotel guide in Pattaya is a Russian girl who met us, told us everything, showed us, and we had practically no contact with her, because there was no reason. The main thing is to take her phone so that you can contact in case of emergency.
Provided car and driver. I repeat that we traveled in a comfortable Toyota minibus. All cars in Thailand are of Japanese assembly, so they have good equipment: leather, tinting, air conditioning and a microphone for the guide. The main plus, the car had two 220-volt sockets, which we used regularly when the batteries were low. The driver's name was Anand, he did not speak Russian, but returning to his car after a hot day, we were greeted by his smile, a chilled wet napkin, a replenished supply of bottled drinking water and fresh and always different fruits. He was never late and tried to bring as close to the destination as possible. And when on the last day he put on a T-shirt with the coat of arms of Russia and the anthem on the back, presented to him by the previous group, he was generally amazed. Therefore, the request will be to tourists who choose such a tour: take souvenirs with the symbols of Russia with you. These people love our country, they study its history and are proud to work with Russian tourists. Make them happy. Unfortunately, we were not ready.
Telephone communications. As we were advised, we bought a local SIM card from a local operator and called only from this phone. We ourselves are from Minsk (citizens of the Russian Federation), so we had telephones with operators from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. Roaming everywhere works properly - checked, but it's cheaper to call from a Thai phone. They will explain to you there - how best to do this, I will only say that you need to dial before the number 00.7 and that the cost of a minute in the Russian Federation is 7 baht, and in the Republic of Belarus 00.375 and 30 baht, respectively. In any case, it is cheaper than roaming calls. Cheaper calls are only in India, where communication is generally cheap. It is very easy to check your balance, as well as replenish it, and you can do it in any store.
Weather. In general, the temperature in the country is over 30 degrees. After the plane, the stuffiness slightly tired us, but this is the specificity of Bangkok: there are no winds, in the morning - smog, in the evening stuffiness. In the north, there is a little more humidity, in Pattaya plus 35-38 and less humidity. There is no rain at this time of the year, in principle, but in the north of the country in the evening we got into tropical rain, which only added zest to our trip. The coldest place is hotel lobbies, airport lounges and other air-conditioned places. Tourists who have a weak point-throat, beware of such drops.
First two days in Bangkok:
The cost of the tour included only one tour of Bangkok. As it turned out, it was a temple in the old city, the name did not tell us anything, so when we were offered options for an additional fee, we agreed. Somehow we did not want to wander around the streets of the capital, and we scored a very intense program. On the evening of the first day, due to being late, there was not much choice. Dinner on the river and skiing on the night channels (1700 baht) or dinner on the 78th floor of a skyscraper with access to the observation deck on the 83rd floor (1000 baht). We chose the second option and left the first one the next day.
What is dinner at Sky Hotel aka the tallest building in Bangkok? This is a buffet of all peoples of the world. Of course, we did not see Russian hodgepodge, borscht, Russian salad and fried potatoes. Still, there are fewer Russians than Europeans and Chinese. But we had enough seafood. Crabs, shrimps of different preparations and different sizes, numerous local delicacies, meat and fish steaks of any roasting, grilling in different ways, fruits and other dishes amazed us. Our guide briefly walked through the local delicacies so that we could try a little bit of everything. Live music plays in the hall, some “buffoons” go around, people come and go. The general mood - "everyone walks with plates and chooses - they want to try something that they have not tried in their countries. " Tourists from Africa in their ceremonial clothes, Chinese in some kind of kindergarten attire, Japanese teenagers a la Tatu. No one was seen in shorts, as well as in evening dresses. Everything is casual and comfortable for tourists.
On the second day, after a free tour, we chose an additional three visits: the royal palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, lunch on a ship and riding along the canals (1700 baht), a cultural trip to the aquarium (700 baht), dinner and watching a theatrical historical performance (1.500 baht) . Everywhere we managed to do everything, the main thing is to have an additional battery and a normal supply of memory in the camera and the camera, because already on the first day there will be so many bright colors and impressions that the hand will shoot everything by itself. At the end of the tour, all the temples in our head were mixed up, trying to remember the names is useless, so the temples of the Golden, Emerald, Black, Talking, Standing and Lying Buddha remained in our head. The Royal Palace is quite worthy of a visit, and although we did not see a beautiful changing of the guard (as in Athens, Stockholm, Moscow), everything was beautiful and bright. We saw several religious rituals and even took part in several. Lunch on the river was an ordinary buffet, after which we got into small motor boats for 8 people and drove along the canals of Bangkok (Chao Phraya River). Of course, millionaires on the banks do not live here, they even saw the homeless (which is generally rare). A 40-minute trip through this little Venice was common, with the exception of feeding fish near one temple by the river. We stopped and each of us was given a loaf of fresh white bread. It was a show: I did not observe such a cluster of fish (size 50-70 cm, something like a small catfish) even during the sale of fresh carp in our supermarkets. It is scaleless and the locals try not to eat it, especially catching it near the temple is blasphemous. Therefore, this stunned fish grabs bread right from the hand, sticking its head out of the water.
In general, we did not see a terrible smell, dirt and other horror stories from third world countries. Of course, the canals are not clean, the houses are not made of stone, but we are not in Venice either. Or maybe we just moved quickly and with a breeze and did not have time to follow everything. And why? We are on vacation.
Oceanarium. It is located on the 1st floor of a large shopping center. We could not evaluate the shopping center itself, but I would give the aquarium a C grade. There is expanse for a child, for those who are in such an institution for the first time there is also something to open their mouths from. But those who have been to Barcelona or Genoa will say that the scale is not the same. It took us a little over an hour to walk through it all, including the glass tunnel.
Theatrical performance of Siam Niramit. This is truly a world class show. Dinner right in the hall on the territory of the complex. In addition to this restaurant, whose cuisine we did not have time to evaluate due to lack of time, there is a Thai village, an open-air museum where Thais crumple, spin, cook, play instruments, sew in national clothes. Here you can try all this, make it yourself or eat it. If you have time, you can sit in a small junk for two people and swim along the artificial river along these "old" houses.
On the street near the building there is an impromptu stage with dancing of pretty girls, musicians and of course with elephants. The only problem is that you can't film the show. Cameras and cameras are left in the storage room. This is the only negative, because you want to shoot such a performance. A huge hall, a big stage, an anthem, standing before the start. Moreover, both in the passage through the hall and on the stage itself, live elephants feel comfortable, depicting scenes from the history of the country. And the river that swims through the whole scene, with a small current, into which the actor dives headlong, a tropical downpour, a quick change of scenery, a huge crowd with countless colorful costumes - all this is really amazing. In one word - super.
After the show, we ended up in a hotel with no legs.
Time difference: 4 hours with Moscow and 5 hours with Minsk, respectively. After the flight and busy evenings, we put the baby to sleep, despite the fact that we have only 5-6 pm. It’s a little harder in the morning, but the days were so busy that we immediately found ourselves in the thick of things and there were no attempts to sleep longer or in the car. But after arriving home, this difference made us wake up at five in the morning for a good two weeks.
Transit hotels: I can give all hotels a fat five, with the exception of the hotel on the Kwai River, where tourists pay for the exotic spending the night on the river. In all transit hotels - very decent buffets, large rooms with all the attributes of a decent hotel. Although, as we understood, during the tour itself, hotels can be replaced. We arrived on December 13, and already at that time all the hotels were decorated for Christmas and New Year. And not some kind of “left” Christmas tree with plastic Santa Claus and snowflakes glued to the windows, but with whole compositions, which I simply won’t describe - all bright and different from each other.
In every hotel you can ask for a Thai massage. It's a little more expensive than in the salon on the street, but you don't have to go anywhere. The level of transit hotels is several times higher than transit hotels in Europe, I generally keep quiet about European breakfasts. We got the impression that we were specially given the opportunity to sleep in different types of hotels. In the capital, the hotel "Two Towers" is a hotel with its own touch of European conservatism and a swimming pool on the fifth floor. On the river Kwai is an exotic vacation to the sound of the river that floats right under you, because the hotel itself stands on stilts. It feels like sleeping near a waterfall. If you don’t like a big bed, you can lie down right in a hammock and imagine yourself at a dacha in the suburbs. By the way, I did not notice mosquitoes, but people saw slow large beetles on the glass in the rooms and even lizards. In our hotel on the river. Kwai electricity was from 18 to 6 am. The toilet and shower worked properly, but there was no hot water. This may scare women away, but you will not get another exotic charge like this.
Further, a hotel in the form of individual bungalows, then hotels in cities in the north with local flavor, but very decent service. Maybe we were just lucky, but the breakfasts are delicious, the linen is clean, the beds are large and they are located not far from the pedestrian shopping streets where you can buy souvenirs and other pleasures of life. Soundproofing without any special claims.
All rooms always had two glass bottles of drinking water, which were free of charge. On vacation, bottles were added every day. We did not look into the paid bar, although they were filled everywhere. The cheapest in the bar is local whiskey, a completely normal drink that you can bring as a gift by buying the same one in the nearest store.
Thai cuisine. This is spicy food. A lot of spices - for an amateur. But in hotels and buffets, the food is quite ordinary, spices are nearby and are added to taste. Unlike India, everything is here: seafood and chicken meat (standard), and pork, and beef. We tried almost everything from soups and bamboo to live spicy little shrimp and dried locusts. I didn’t try field mice (rice, they don’t eat others), bats, beetles and larvae - I didn’t risk it. Walking past the rows where they cook such food is hard, the smells are terrible. Who will be in Thailand - try it, especially since it is also presented in full at the resorts. We tried live shrimp with spices far to the north, on the shore of the lake, where local fishermen treated us. They themselves washed down this dish with local liquor, but for me personally, a side dish was enough. It is impossible to compare with something, it is impossible to say that it is delicious. Sharp and unusual.
Despite all the exoticism and unusualness of the entire cuisine, I would note the soup based on coconut milk with seafood. Although I admit that it was specially invented for tourists: the taste is excellent.
Thai fruits and vegetables. We didn't have anything special planned, but due to the kindness of the guide and driver, we tried everything we could, drove to the plantations and ate pineapples and other delicacies from the fields. It is impossible to try everything, but Maxim tried to give fruit samples, both from the North and from the south of Thailand. We misunderstood their name, but it could be called a separate excursion, not listed in the schedule. Watermelons, melons and strawberries were common. Of course, we brought them home with us. Perhaps we were lucky and in Moscow they simply didn’t inspect us, although they scared us with quarantine and the fact that three days before the New Year, Russian customs officers prepare their New Year’s tables at the expense of tourists. Perhaps it was a combination of circumstances, and we did not pay for reloading at the Bangkok airport (1 kg-500 baht, per person - the norm is 20 kg of luggage). But the fact remains: we were able to bring and deliver everything.
Thai massage. In my understanding, Thai massage is when two or more pretty Asian girls fumble around your beloved with oils and dark bodies and relax with you. Reality turned out to be different. There are few types of Thai massage. Salons near the hotels and the hotels themselves offer cultural massages. Within an hour, you will be massaged on your head, legs, and back. They will offer a classic Thai massage of the whole body, anti-cellulite, muscle and blood circulation. All of them with the addition of manual therapy and Pilates. That is, you will be remembered, bent, they will pass over you and press on all points. After it comes bliss, and you actually feel a couple of years younger. We used mainly classical Thai massage in different parts of the country, which we recommend to you. However, the difference is small, someone starts from the legs, someone from the back, someone has more stretching exercises, someone uses oils more. We did not see amateurs - the masseurs are quite experienced and competent. But I would advise you to go to the resort for a series of massages from one master. Then there will be a sense. The cost of a massage is low. It ranges from 200 to 400 baht (8-12 dollars). I mean classic Thai massage for 1 hour. In Minsk, a massage of this level costs 20-25 USD - a session. For lovers of erotic massage, the way is the road to Walker Street in Pattaya. Its cost is more expensive and, leaving after it, you feel even younger and even more tired. But I think so, because I have not visited it
Medicines. Like all normal Russians, we brought a whole set of medicines with us. But they were useful only for allergies (and, as it seemed to us, in the sun already in Pattaya). We always tried to wash our hands, we only drank water from bottles. But I still recommend taking such a set, you never know what. For those with varicose veins, fear not. The tour is not difficult, we didn’t have to walk a lot, and it’s impossible to watch one temple for a long time. I recommend taking an antiviral, especially for those who swim a lot or like air conditioners. Temperature fluctuations are a terrible thing. On the way back on the plane, many coughed
Now the tour itself.
I won’t describe it too much, but besides the one indicated in the catalog, the guide showed several other modern temples that differ from the standard ones.
Since there were few of us, we tried to keep up everywhere. We visited a market in Laos. In the north, the border is transparent and the market is just for tourists, payments are in baht. More details in the souvenirs section. I liked the monkeys in an abandoned temple in the city of Lomburi. They live in the wild right around this temple by the dozens. And don't spare 20 baht for a local girl in uniform who will offer you protection services from pesky monkeys. Then feeding these funny animals will give you pleasure, and no one will climb on your back from behind or grab you from your hands. A set of lotus seeds, which will be offered right there, costs the same 20 baht.
Elephant riding will be offered at every turn, but we liked it better on the River Kwai. The drovers singing “Oh frost frost, don’t freeze me, don’t freeze me and my elephant” will jump off their heads for 100 baht, offer you to sit instead of the drover and take many great pictures for you. What is 100 baht?
By the way, about the photos. In many places you will be quietly filmed, and at the exit they will offer your image on plates or in frames. No one is forcing you, and I haven't seen much bargaining. The cost of such an image is from 100 to 200 baht. But immediately in a frame (they are all different) or on a plate. We brought a few of these and gave immediately to relatives. And now we are preparing a photo album ourselves, but what is it to choose from almost 2000 photos 200. a difficult task. You can take pictures almost everywhere, there are a few exceptions in temples, as well as at shows, including Tiffany, but still I have never seen such a loyal attitude towards a person with a camera. If you have chosen a background in the form of a long-necked woman from a mountain tribe, then she will pose and smile, a girl in a national costume will also be happy to light up. You can give them 10-20 baht, but there is no begging, as in India. Only after the performance in Pattaya, transvestites will ask for 40 baht for posing, in other cases - at your discretion.
Boating. There were 3 of them in total, plus a ride on horse-drawn carts around the city of Lampang. Motor boats for 2-6 people and a raft to the waterfall. On a raft, you will quietly and majestically pass through the jungle past three waterfalls. On the rivers quickly, with a breeze.
Hill tribe. The name is loud, representatives of five tribes were brought to the north of the country in one place. For incoming tourists, each tribe does something like a local dance, after which the tourists dump 20-100 baht into the common cauldron. Here, each tribe sells its products. The kids go to the local school, sing the national anthem and raise the national flag every day. Of the interesting: only two tribes: long-necked and long-eared with holes. The overall impression of the visit is pity. As soon as tourists arrive (and there are not many of them) and start walking along the path, the local natives put on the mask of actors. But they do it very clumsily, and this feeling of pity remains from the performance.
Of the temples, the remains of two former capitals, Ayuthai and Sukhothai, struck. They still know how to take care of old relics.
Souvenirs. The cheapest souvenirs are in the north, but do not forget that you fly back on local airlines and there is a ban on excess cargo (domestic 15 kg). Therefore, we took few souvenirs, although there are exceptions. At the market in Laos, be sure to take bottles of rice vodka. In a bottle of your choice: cobra, lizard or ginseng root. The cost of such a souvenir is from 80 to 500 baht. We took five bottles with snakes 0.5 liters for 80 baht. I personally tried all the drinks - they give everyone a taste, plus a bonus vodka on a turtle. Not poisoned! Taste? It seemed to me that it was 50 degrees, I didn’t notice a special aftertaste. See to be more transparent. I brought it to the office - naturally they drank it there too, but it seemed to me that the degree was less, but still no one from the company was poisoned. You won’t drink this every day, our native vodka is tastier. So that the snake does not disappear after drinking, he filled the bottle with our vodka. Now the cabinet is decorated with a souvenir. The same bottle in Pattaya costs 1500 baht.
Teas are normal and not cheap, women's bags for every taste from an ordinary elephant to an exotic stingray. True, it is difficult to distinguish a fake. Everyone says that the originals, but where can you find so many stingrays? The cost of a stingray bag is from 3.000 to 10.000 baht, wallets are 1.000-2.000, crocodiles are more expensive. Bags made from ordinary leather are very good and the cost is several times cheaper compared to our prices and there is a choice. Despite the fact that we were in specialized stores, we took everything made of leather in Pattaya at Vovan's store, in the markets even in the north it was more expensive.
Small souvenirs - for every taste. Personally, we also took in Pattaya at the Lukdot store. From any hotel there and back you will be taken free of charge, you only need to warn your hotel guide. In both stores they speak a little Russian.
From clothes there is a wide choice of branded sportswear (cheaper than in Russia) and penny imitations of well-known brands. For example, a quite decent T-shirt with a well-known label costs from 120 (the market in Laos) to 200 in Pattaya. Their cotton is of good quality. Jeans of famous brands from 20 to 40 dollars, watches from 4 to 50 dollars. We got on sale and prices dropped everywhere. Everywhere you need to bargain, on the beach, in shops. On the market. Everywhere! ! Except of course the shopping center
It makes no sense to describe more - it is better to see for yourself.
Rest in Pattaya. We didn't have much choice of hotels. Still, a combined tour and purchase a week before the flight did not have a large selection. We relied on our travel agent and, in principle, were satisfied. Adriatic Palace Hotel 4 stars. Slightly pretentious hotel with the usual set of rest.
Pros: the beach is right at the exit, from the hotel, the beach is clean enough water too. Although they were afraid that in Pattaya you can only relax on the islands. Opposite the hotel there is a shop and a quite normal cafe with a good selection of seafood. For those who are bored, you can order borscht and other Russian dishes, the menu is in Russian. Dinner for two rarely exceeded 500 baht. We took only seafood. If without beer, only with freshly squeezed juices, then 350-400. Beer - quite decent, only three types. 50 baht in the store, 80 baht on the beach, 100 baht near the waterfalls. Freshly squeezed juices 25-40 baht. A bottle of local rum or whiskey is also not expensive. But if you want to eat the same on Walker Street, then the cost of a set is 2-3 times more expensive.
The downside of the hotel is the distance from the city center. The cost of a taxi ride to the city is 100 baht, back - depending on where you want to stop a taxi in the city, from 100 to 150 baht. Due to the remoteness from the city, the hotel has quite a decent beach. After a tour of the country, excursions were no longer interesting to us. Due to the abundance of shops in the free tour, we even forgo the only free trip to the crocodile and snake farm from Natalie Tour. We stopped only on an evening trip to Mini Siam and the Tropical Orchid Garden. We also chose trips in advance by minibus with our Thai guide. If you take a trip through a hotel guide, then the cost will not be cheap, and the bus for 30 people. From any hotel you can order such a trip with a local driver, and it will cost you even cheaper than with Natalie Tour, but we are already used to our Thai guides and we made trips with them. This time with Tintana. She suggested that the collection of mini buildings and famous sculptures of the world in the open air is better to watch with the transition to the evening and persuaded to visit the orchid garden, and orchids play little role here. A beautiful park, a theatrical performance and, of course, a real elephant show. Have you seen elephants riding a bike, and throwing and hitting balls with darts, and throwing bowling balls, playing football and throwing basketballs, painting and dancing? A real circus, and we were sitting in the front rows, and you could always feed the actors with a branch of bananas for the same 20 baht. During the show, on command, you can take a seat on the rugs and get an elephant massage, and after the show, take a picture on their trunks. I recommend.
Of course, holidays in Pattaya also have a sexual side. Who came for this - to hell with all the temples and sights, take a beautiful Thai woman by the hand and walk around the city with her, as dozens of elderly Europeans do. But young Russian guys also order this exotic. Just do not confuse with a transvestite. Although everyone has their own tastes - everything is allowed there. We limited ourselves to the show of transvestites "Alkazar" and show for adults 69.
I liked the first one, the second - for an amateur. But being in Pattaya and not visiting them is ridiculous. Alkazar or Tiffany, as we understand it, are equivalent shows, both of which are beautiful, great scenery and so-so dancing. The girls (or boys, you can't tell) are very beautiful and after the show you begin to look at all the strings of prostitutes along the embankment in a new way. But on Alkazar you can shoot video and photos, on Tiffany you can’t. The cost of the show is 550-700 baht depending on the series. The price includes transfer there and back.
Swimming is quite normal, there are no big waves like in GOA. Towels are free at the hotel, on the beach for 50 baht (they will start offering from 80) you will be given an umbrella, a sunbed with a mattress, a pillow, an ashtray and a trash can. In the heat, they will offer a second umbrella for free to close from the sun and beer from the refrigerator for 80 baht. Traders of souvenirs, consumer goods, fruit and food scurry along the beach. So I want to mark them for importunity, so the best reaction is no reaction. Diving only on the islands. The cost is 20 baht on a boat plus a taxi to the pier and back (200 baht), for those in the city - one way only to the pier (close and free) and to the islands. It is impossible to swim in the city - it is dirty. You can rent a boat (10 people) for the whole day. I could be wrong, but like 6.000 baht. Fishing, jet skis, bananas and parachutes - as elsewhere in the resorts . .
Now we are making a film on vacation, and I will always watch it with pleasure.
