Как получить работу на курорте в Тангалума

Я только что вернулась с поездки на остров Моретон, где я вместе с семьей провела несколько дней на курорте в Тангалума.

Пока я там была, я поговорила с менеджером курорта и выяснилось, что у них постоянно требуется кто- то из обслуживающего персонала. Как он сказал ротация кадров – 120% в год, то есть, большинство людей работает там меньше года и уезжает. В сезон там работает примерно 300 человек, большинство рабочих мест – обслуживающий персонал, без всякой квалификации.

Я подумала, что это может быть интересная возможность пожить и поработать на красивом тропическом острове для тех, кто только что приехал в Австралию, и у кого нет семьи.

Условия работы на острове включают в себя предоставление жилья и трехразовое питание. За это из зарплаты вычитают за это 171,55 в неделю. Я разделила на 7 и получилось –24,50 доллара в день за питание и жилье. По местным меркам – невероятно дешево.

Я думаю, что работа на острове сразу может помочь решить несколько вопросов по приезде: — пожить в красивом и радостном месте, найти друзей и основательно подтянуть разговорный язык. То есть не то, что я советую строить там карьеру и работать в ресторане всю жизнь. Но, поработав там несколько месяцев, и начав говорить на приличном английском, работу по специальности будет найти намного легче. Кроме того, в зависимости от того, какую работу там удастся получить –по окончании трудоустройства можно будет получить рекомендации.

Работа для улучшения английского языка

Я бы составляла резюме на работы, которые требуют много разговоров. Например – reception, Food and Beverage, Activities / Entertainment, Tour Drivers, Water Sports, Equipment Hire.

Все эти работы требуют постоянно общения- а это как раз то, что больше всего необходимо для быстрого улучшения разговорного языка. Помогает лучше, чем любое обучение в колледже.

Мы когда приехали на остров- в администрации стоял парень из Таиланда – он говорил с таким акцентом, что я только процентов 30% понимала, из всей его речи. Через пару дней покупала у него тур- смотрю – уже получше немного он бормочет. Через шесть дней, когда я уезжала – вообще процентов 60 могла понять из того, что он говорит.

Естественно, сразу после приезда в Австралию, пойти на такую работу страшновато, но это самый быстрый путь для адаптации и успешного поиска работы по специальности. В английском языке есть выражение – short term pain for long term gain. Вначале попотеть, зато насколько легче потом. Так что, если у вас нет планов проработать уборщиком всю жизнь в Австралии, то советую подаваться на работы, которые требуют постоянного общения.

В общем – ищите, засылайте и все получиться. Совсем не плохо пожить на прекрасном тропическом острове по приезду. Работает там в основном холостая молодежь, поэтому работа – еще и возможность быстро найти друзей. После работы ведь все равно они отдыхают вместе со всеми.
